The Hospital

• 24/7 emergency and critical care with seamless handoffs across shifts
• Multidisciplinary team including internal medicine, surgery, neurology, medical oncology, and rehabilitation

• Full clinical infrastructure: surgical suites, intensive care unit, isolation facilities, and in-house pharmacy

The Role

• Provide triage, stabilization, and ongoing management for emergency and critical patients
• Perform emergency procedures and surgeries appropriate to experience and hospital protocols
• Utilize in-house diagnostics and advanced imaging to guide rapid clinical decisions
• Collaborate closely with specialty services to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Manage hospitalized cases with attentive communication and thorough medical records
• Contribute to a positive team culture by mentoring support staff and engaging in case rounds
• Participate in a rotating schedule that may include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• DVM or VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• License to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and a commitment to team-based care
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, emergency-capable environment
