The Role
- Emergency and urgent care position
- Perform emergency triage, stabilisation, and treatment planning
- Manage medical and surgical emergency cases
- Perform emergency surgery within your level of experience
- Oversee inpatient and post-operative patient care
- Utilise advanced diagnostics including digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory equipment
- Deliver compassionate and effective client communication during emergency situations
- Collaborate closely with licensed technicians and support staff
- Contribute to a positive teaching environment through mentorship and clinical collaboration
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent qualification
- Eligible for Michigan veterinary licensure
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Experience or confidence in emergency triage, stabilisation, anaesthesia, and inpatient management
- Previous emergency surgical experience is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
