Care Center - Cincinnati is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6‑month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team‑oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable.
The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
The ER Immerse Program prepares veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built to differ from traditional rotating internship programs, the curriculum is centered on core competencies essential for an emergency clinician, including clinical knowledge, skills, client and team communication, professional development, and life‑work integration.
The program combines simulation‑based didactic components with authentic clinical experiences with live patients. The evidence‑based curriculum identifies the competencies and skills needed for a successful emergency veterinary career.
About Care Center Cincinnati & Dayton
Located in southwest Ohio, Care Center Cincinnati is a multi‑specialty and emergency hospital known for outstanding patient care and a collaborative culture. The hospital features a highly skilled team, advanced equipment, and strong relationships with referring veterinarians.
Care Center Dayton is a specialty and emergency hospital in Ohio's Miami Valley, providing high‑quality care and a supportive work culture.
Program Duration/Commitment
- 6‑month training program beginning June 2026
- 18‑month commitment as an ER clinician following training
Location
- Care Center - Cincinnati: 6995 E Kemper Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45249
- Care Center - Dayton: 6421 Clyo Road, Centerville, OH 45459
Program Highlights
- 5‑day work week consisting of 4 clinical days, 1 didactic day, and 2 days off each week
- Rotation with other specialty services during training: Emergency, Critical Care, Cardiology, Integrative Medicine, Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgery, and Radiology
- Surgical training
- Dedicated mentor support on all shifts
- Post‑training schedule: 3‑day work week, no more than 3 shifts in a row, always 2 days off between working
- Competency‑based curriculum with asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds
- Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors
- ER Mentee Salary: $100,000.00
- U.S. work authorization required; this position does not sponsor visas, but candidates eligible for TN status may be considered
