Emergency Services Clinician - Contract (4034)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides face‑to‑face and telephone crisis intervention, diagnostic evaluation and assessment of need for treatment, pre‑admission screening for private and state psychiatric hospitalization; provides behavioral health consultation; referral to DPCS programs or other community‑based services and adherence to guidelines or regulations established by Virginia Statute and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements:

• M1: Master’s degree (30 credit hours or more) in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Services that includes coursework for eventual licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia.
• M2: Experience providing mental health or substance use services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families.
• M3: Documented crisis intervention experience within the past five years.
• M4: Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Fingerprints, state and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our agency maintains a drug‑free workplace.

HOURLY RATE RANGE

$20.58–$30 per face‑to‑face contact. $24.58–$30 per face‑to‑face contact (holidays).
