Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in the ER.
- Triage incoming patients and prioritize care based on acuity.
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in EMR.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance standards in all procedures.
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per protocol.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- Assist in developing and meeting department KPIs and performance metrics.
- Demonstrate accountability for own performance and outcomes within the team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance patient throughput.
- Maintain on-site readiness through stock checks and credentialed equipment maintenance.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
Experience/Qualifications
- Active RN license and current BLS/ACLS certification.
- Minimum 2–3 years ER or acute care nursing experience.
- Proficient EMR documentation with accurate patient assessments and outcomes.
- Triage proficiency with rapid decision-making and acuity-based prioritization.
- Medication administration per protocol with monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborative communication with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to meet department KPIs and contribute to throughput improvements.
- Strong patient and family education skills for discharge planning.
- On-site readiness with equipment maintenance and stock management.
- Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and learning mindset aligned with growth goals.
