Overview

The Staff Pad has partnered with a critical access hospital in Alturas, CA for Registered Nurses in their Emergency Department. This role is ideal for experienced ER nurses who thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment and are passionate about delivering compassionate, high‑quality care. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team to support patients through urgent and emergent situations. Full‑time positions include comprehensive benefits, while per diem roles offer flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care and closely monitor patient conditions
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by providers
  • Accurately document patient care and clinical outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations and changing priorities
  • Contribute to a positive, team‑focused environment

Qualifications

  • Active California RN license
  • Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience (required)
  • Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
  • Strong critical thinking and decision‑making skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Adaptable, dependable, and team‑oriented
