Full Time & Swing Shift Freestanding Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Location: Sentara Lake Ridge - Lake Ridge, VA
Shift: 11:00am-11:00pm (Full Time & Swing Shift)
Sign‑on bonus: Up to $20,000 for qualified candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) License - Single State License - Virginia OR
- Registered Nurse (RN) License - Compact/Multi‑State License
- RN‑Associate's Degree or RN‑Bachelor's Degree or RN‑Diploma or RN‑Master's Degree or RN‑Doctorate Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
Job Responsibilities
- The RN is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process.
- Maintain standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion, evaluation) and professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, environmental health).
- Possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards required by specific clinical areas.
- Meet and maintain any requirements defined by specific specialty; Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire.
- All Direct Care RN’s required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
