Related Experience:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in Emergency Medicine.
- Extensive critical care experience.
- Skilled in airway management techniques.
- Experience with diagnostic evaluation tools such as medical imaging and lab testing.
- Knowledge of CPT coding, /ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
- Familiarity with hospital standards such as NCQA standards and infection control protocols.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and patient assessment techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in high‑stakes environments.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging and laboratory data to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Manage airway control, ventilator support, and acute pain management for critically ill patients.
- Execute procedures such as suturing, removal of foreign bodies, splinting, and cardiac arrest management.
- Coordinate with specialists for infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and other subspecialties.
- Document clinical findings accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Provide triage services for incoming patients in urgent care settings or outpatient clinics.
- Assist in discharge planning, post‑acute care coordination, and follow‑up care instructions.
