Emergency Physician

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Rochester seeks committed physician faculty members to teach and practice at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, NY, as well as other regional facilities. Clinicians will engage in direct patient care while educating house staff and medical students in a dynamic academic environment. This role offers opportunities for professional growth within a major tertiary care teaching network.

• Practice at Strong Memorial Hospital, Strong West and other Regional Hospitals which are a part of the University of Rochester

Responsibilities

• Patient care
• Teaching of house staff and medical students
• Participate in monthly division meetings, administrative functions and institutional committees as requested

Compensation

• Salary is dependent on experience of the physician and the facility contracted at
• The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position
• Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries
• Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process

Requirements

• Candidates must be Board certified (or Board eligible) in Emergency Medicine and have a NYS Medical License
• If Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Family Medicine, must have experience and appropriate training in Emergency Medicine
• Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a health screening exam, pre-placement TB test, and your full cooperation in completing a screening for the illegal use of drugs
