Job DescriptionTeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time emergency medicine ultrasound director to join our emergency department team at Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, California. This role serves as core faculty for the HCA/Los Robles Emergency Medicine Residency Program and offers the opportunity to lead and grow the ultrasound division while maintaining an active clinical practice.This position is ideal for an ultrasound fellowship-trained EM physician with a passion for resident education, faculty development, and bedside ultrasound. The ultrasound director will have protected administrative time to oversee ultrasound education and collaborate closely with residency and hospital leadership.Position ProfileLos Robles Regional Medical Center: Level II trauma center382-bed acute care hospitalCore faculty role for a 3-year EM residency program (6 residents per class)Dedicated simulation center and GME spaceNew ultrasound machines in the emergency department, including portable handheld probesAccess to ultrasound simulation trainers and online ultrasound curriculumOpportunities to teach ultrasound across multiple GME programs, including IM, neurology, anesthesia, surgery, and cardiologyResponsibilitiesLead the ultrasound division for the emergency medicine residency programProvide ultrasound education during resident didacticsTeach ultrasound during dedicated ultrasound rotationsParticipate in faculty ultrasound developmentSupervise and teach residents and medical students clinicallyMaintain clinical shifts in the emergency departmentCandidate QualificationsBoard-certified or board-eligible in emergency medicineCompletion of an emergency medicine ultrasound fellowshipStrong interest in resident education and academic involvementExcellent communication, teaching, and leadership skillsCompensationCompetitive Compensation, with an estimated base salary range of $170 to $315 hourly.Interested in learning more?
