Sanford Health, one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the U.S., is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician to join their team at Marshfield Medical Center - Rice Lake in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical care in a Level Four Trauma Center, supported by dedicated colleagues and staff. - Marshfield Medical Center - Rice Lake is a trauma level four center.
- The Emergency Department is separate from Urgent Care, which is on the clinic side.
- Approximately 14,000 patients are seen per year in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- Assess, evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical examinations and provide initial treatment to patients of all age groups, who present to the emergency department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition.

Shift & Schedule
- 12 hour shifts
- 11 shifts per month = 1600 hours per year
- 50/50 day and night shifts
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of an Emergency Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Board Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable (required within five years from residency completion if not board certified at time of application).
- H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available.
- For applicants not directly out of residency, provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where privileges are held showing clinical activity for the past 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.
- For applicants not directly out of residency, demonstrate active practice in the emergency department in the past 12 months with a census equal to or exceeding 3,000 patient visits annually.
- If a quality profile is not available, documentation of hospital-based clinical activity for the past 12 months is required, showing practice in an emergency department with a census equal to or exceeding 3,000 visits annually.
