- Evening shift ( 12p to 12a or 1p to 1a)
- 17% of ED patients admitted to the hospital per day
- 2% of ED patients transferred per day
- 27 beds
- 8 ED physicians in group
- No fast track in ED
- All ages - pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric
- EMR: Cerner
- Level 4 Trauma
- ED staff responds to house codes - there are hospitalists 24/7, ED doctors respond to codes
- Deliveries are sent directly to Labor and Delivery, not received in ED
- ED is responsible for monitoring/supervising paramedics/ambulance by radio
- 24-hour availability for Radiology, Laboratory, OR, Anesthesia
- Surgical Services: CT, Vascular, Ortho
- Description of consultants: Radiologist, Critical Care Intensivist, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Neurologist, Urologist, Hem/Onc, Psychiatrist
- ED sees about 80 to 100 patients in a 24 hour shift. A typical day has 5 providers on per 24 hours
- Housing, flight, and rental car provided
- Board Certified/Board Eligible - Required (client not currently considering IM/FM)
- Active IA license - Required
- ATLS (preferred), ACLS, BLS, PALS - Required by start date
- Must have 1-2 years experience
