Sound Physicians is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join their team at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center in Washington, DC. This role offers the opportunity to lead patient care within a physician-founded and led medical group, emphasizing clinical excellence and collaborative partnership. Physicians will work alongside care teams across Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Critical Care, contributing to smoother transitions and improved patient outcomes.

Practice Info

  • Lead a team of 10 physicians and 6 APPs at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center.
  • Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is a 136-bed hospital in Southeast Washington, D.C.
  • The Emergency Department has 32 beds dedicated to the Adult ER, with Children’s National Hospital staffing the pediatric emergency department.
  • Accountable, on-site leadership with a local medical director.
  • Cohesive teams aligned on a patient-first culture of excellence.
  • Cerner is the EMR.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to floor codes.
  • Work alongside the Sound hospitalist team as part of the Rapid Response and Code team.

Compensation

Shift & Schedule

  • 40 hours of Physician coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage daily.
  • The monthly workload for full-time positions is 120 hours.
  • Part-time entails 80 hours per month.
  • Team environment with shared nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Schedules will be published 90 days in advance.

Requirements

  • Board certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience.
  • Medical Directors must be ABEM/ABOEM certified with at least one (1) year of medical leadership experience in a similar or larger volume department.
  • Certifications Required: ATLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
