Assignment Details
- Assignment Length: Ongoing through June 30, 2027
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts
- Shift Availability: Day and Night (AM/PM) coverage
- Practice Setting: Hospital Emergency Department
- Coverage Model: Single physician coverage
- ED Beds: 10-11
- Patient Volume: Approximately 0.5-2 patients per hour
- Patient Population: Adults and Pediatrics
- Patient Acuity: Primarily ESI Level 3 and 4, with occasional Level 2 patients
- Admission Rate: Approximately 2-3%
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries.
- Provide emergency stabilization and management for pediatric and adult patients.
- Perform emergency procedures within the scope of Emergency Medicine practice.
- Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, radiology, consultants, and ancillary services to provide efficient, high-quality patient care.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
- Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain.
- Current DEA registration.
