Emergency Medicine Physician- St. Joseph's Hospital

West Virginia University Health System (WVUHS) invites applications for an Emergency Medicine physician to join the team at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV.

Position Details

• Location: 1 Amalia Drive, Buckhannon, West Virginia.
• Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
• Shift: Not specified.
• Employment: Exempt status in the United States.
• Cost center: 7650 SMG Emergency Department STJ.
• Company: SMG System Medical Group.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency department care to approximately 24,000 patients annually at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
• Teach medical students and residents during clinical rotations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across the WVU Emergency Medicine practice sites.
• Participate in departmental residency and fellowship programs.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
• Eligibility to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license.
• Completed accredited Emergency Medicine residency program.
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Faculty rank and salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
