As we prepare to open our newest location in Rapid City, we’re looking for Emergency Medicine Physicians who are passionate about practicing high‑quality emergency medicine while helping build a culture centered around compassion, teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
Minimum Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Eligible for unrestricted South Dakota medical licensure
- Eligible for DEA registration and South Dakota controlled substance authority
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- 2 Years demonstrated emergency department experience
- Confident and proficient in emergency airway management, endotracheal intubation, chest tube placement, ACLS resuscitation, procedural sedation, and other emergency life‑saving procedures
- Ability to successfully meet all Exceptional Community Hospital Medical Staff credentialing, privileging, payer enrollment, background screening, and compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- ATLS and PALS certifications
- Experience in independent emergency medicine practice
- Excellent bedside manner and patient communication skills
- Commitment to concierge‑level patient care and outstanding customer service
Position Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients of all ages
- Perform emergency procedures and resuscitations as clinically indicated
- Interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
- Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers, nursing, ancillary departments, and hospital leadership
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and Medical Staff activities
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation
