Sanford Health is seeking a residency-trained, BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician to join their team at Sanford USD Medical Center. - Average 44,000+ annual visits
- 32 beds with 3 large trauma bays
- 24/7 double Physician coverage and triple covered 5p-2a
- APP's are utilized 12 hrs/day, 7 days/wk
- Adult & Pediatric Hospitalists take unassigned patients
Responsibilities
- Assess, evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical examinations and provide initial treatment to patients of all age groups, who present to the emergency department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition

Shift & Schedule
- Work an average of 15 (8-9 hour) shifts per month
Requirements
- Residency trained BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an Emergency Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
- Experience can be demonstrated by residency log (for recent graduates) or a quality profile from hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the past 12 months (for others)
- Must be able to demonstrate active practice in the emergency department in the past 12 months with a census equal to or exceeding 3,000 patient visits annually
