We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 90-day assignment in Florida. This role involves 12-hour shifts covering freestanding emergency departments and the main hospital, managing a diverse range of emergency cases. Day and night coverage is needed.
Practice Info
- Freestanding emergency departments with occasional work at the main hospital
- EMR: Meditech EHR
- Work Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
- Staffing Mix: Single physician coverage at freestanding emergency departments; multiple Emergency Medicine providers at the main hospital, with Nurse/APP triage available for lower-acuity patients at the main hospital only
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for broken or fractured bones, head injuries, and other major traumas.
- Address loss of consciousness, one-sided weakness or numbness, and severe abdominal pain.
- Manage cases involving severe bleeding, signs of heart attack, including chest pain, and uncontrolled pain or bleeding.
- Treat low to moderate acuity patients at freestanding emergency departments.
- Provide care for moderate to high acuity patients at the main hospital.
- Manage an estimated patient volume of 2–2.5 per hour during peak periods.
