Job Summary

Full‑time Emergency Medicine Physician required at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. Salary range is $225.00–$255.00 per hour; actual pay depends on specialty, experience, and performance.

In Your Role

• Provide comprehensive care for adult patients, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Perform comprehensive history and physical assessments.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic labs and tests.
• Develop and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions.
• Coordinate specialty referrals and consultations.
• Recognize and respond to emergent situations with life‑saving interventions.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and diverse needs.
• Participate in clinic meetings and daily safety huddles.
• Engage in continuing medical education and professional development.
• Demonstrate leadership, mentorship, and evidence‑based practice.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Current, valid medical license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Active DEA registration.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
