UPMC is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join UPMC Emergency Medicine and provide expert care across our integrated global health enterprise in Pennsylvania. Physicians will treat patients in the emergency room, evaluating various acuities, thinking and act quickly to make diagnoses, and determining appropriate courses of treatment. Practice Info
- Emergency care is provided by a trained, board certified emergency physician 24-hours a day
- Facilities are staffed with critical care trained, ACLS and PALS certified nursing staff
- Emergency care includes the immediate treatment of any medical or surgical emergency, the initiation of life-saving procedures in all types of emergency situations, and the provision of emergency care for chronic medical conditions and minor illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages
- Staffing ratios are generally less than two patients per hour
Responsibilities
- Treat patients in Emergency Room to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis
- Evaluate a variety of acuity, think and act quickly to make a tentative diagnosis and determine the appropriate course of treatment
- Work as part of a team with providers and other members of the emergency staff

Requirements
- Emergency Medicine Board Eligible/Board Certified
