Sanford Health is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physicians to join their team of 20 Emergency Medicine physicians in Fargo, North Dakota. This full-time position offers a dynamic environment within a Level I ACS verified Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. - Sanford's Emergency Department is a Level I ACS verified Adult Trauma Center & Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Excellent sub-specialist coverage
- Services approximately 60,000+ visits per year
- 42 ER bays, 5 trauma and resuscitation rooms
- Hospitalist Service takes unassigned patient admits; no ED Physician admits
- Supported by AirMed transport services with helicopter and fixed wing covering a 3-state area
Responsibilities
- Assess, evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical examinations and provide initial treatment to patients of all age groups, who present to the emergency department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition

Shift & Schedule
- Full-time position is 144 hours per month designed as 12-14 shifts
- Staffing is 24/7 double coverage, triple and quadruple coverage during peak hours
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an Emergency Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
