Sanford Health, one of the largest and fastest-growing not-for-profit health systems in the United States, is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician to join the Emergency Department at Marshfield Medical Center - Minocqua. This role involves providing comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages, covering the full spectrum of emergency medicine from pediatrics to trauma. Physicians are encouraged to engage in medical education and research, contributing to a strong foundation of patient care.

Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, admit, or discharge any patients that seek medical attention - day or night
- Provide the full spectrum of emergency medicine including pediatrics, acute illness, medical, surgical, and trauma
- Assess, evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical examinations and provide initial treatment to patients of all age groups, who present to the emergency department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition

Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- 10 to 11 shifts per month
- 1600 hours per year
Requirements
- BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Experience demonstrated by residency log (for recent graduates) or quality profile from current hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the past 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications
- Demonstrate active practice in the emergency department in the past 12 months with a census equal to or exceeding 3,000 patient visits annually
- Successful completion of an Emergency Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
