Job Overview
Emergency Medicine Physician for multiple locations in Texas, including Madisonville, Bryan, College Station, Caldwell, and Navasota. The physician will provide 12‑ and 24‑hour coverage in the Emergency Department of CHI St. Joseph Madison Hospital, a 25‑bed critical access hospital, Level IV trauma center, and Level III Stroke Care Facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary evaluation, management, and disposition of emergency patients in an annual volume of approximately 9,000 visits.
- Maintain continuous physician coverage for 24 hours per day, with shifts ranging from 12 to 24 hours.
- Document clinical care using the Picis CPOE EMR system.
- Participate in team-based care in a Level IV trauma and Level III stroke environment.
- Adhere to hospital policies on patient safety, quality, and credentialing.
Qualifications
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Emergency Medicine, or board‑certified/eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with recent emergency exposure.
- Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Evidence of ability to work in a high‑volume, small‑bed ED (5 beds, 0.9 patients per hour).
