We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Inverness, Florida. Join a well-supported, recently renovated emergency department serving a high-acuity adult population in a modern and efficient setting. This role offers the chance to work in a Designated Stroke Center with tele-neurology implementation underway, supported by a strong hospitalist team.

- Annual ED Volume: 45,000 visits
- 36 hours of physician coverage per day
- 40 hours of APP (Advanced Practice Provider) coverage per day
- Patient Population: Predominantly adult and geriatric with low pediatric volume (~6%)
- No trauma designation
- EMR: Cerner
- 28 private and bariatric-capable rooms
- Recently renovated emergency department with modern amenities
- Strong hospitalist support team for admissions and inpatient care
- Designated Stroke Center with tele-neurology currently being implemented
- High acuity adult volume with access to advanced imaging and specialty support
Requirements
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
- Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain
- DEA license
- Experience working in high-volume EDs preferred
- Comfortable managing a wide range of emergency presentations in a non-trauma setting
