Emergency Medicine Physician

This locum tenens Emergency Medicine Physician opportunity is available at a teaching hospital and Level III Trauma Center located in Iowa. The clinician will provide clinical coverage during day and night shifts from November 2026 through January 2027, evaluating and managing patient presentations across all age groups. Peak patient volumes occur during the 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM period, with dedicated physician support and EPIC EMR documentation utilized throughout the assignment. No call responsibilities are required for this role.

Practice Info

• Teaching hospital and Level III Trauma Center designation
• Utilizes EPIC EMR for clinical documentation
• Staffing is structured as 1-2 Physicians covering day hours and 1 Physician covering night hours
• Average 77 patients per day
• On-site location in Iowa

Responsibilities

• Provide locum tenens clinical coverage during day and night shifts
• Evaluate and manage emergency department presentations across all age groups
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using the EPIC EMR system throughout each assigned shift
