Sound Physicians is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join their dynamic team in Hobbs, NM. Clinicians will collaborate with a cohesive team across Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Critical Care, contributing to improved patient outcomes in a community where clinical judgment is highly valued.

Practice Info

  • Join a close-knit team of 5 physicians and 3 APPs at Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital.
  • Work alongside emergency and hospital medicine colleagues, providing an excellent variety of pathology.
  • Accountable, on-site leadership with a local medical director.
  • Stable, well-staffed teams aligned on a patient-first culture of excellence.
  • Rural emergency department with 12 beds in an open ICU setting, seeing 16,650 patients annually.
  • Single doctor coverage with an APP from 11 am to 11 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide top-quality patient care to a rural emergency department.
  • Foster collaboration and support among team members.
  • Emphasize proper, careful, and safe patient treatment as a core focus.
  • Utilize advanced medical technology and handle transfers through the Convenant Transfer Center.
  • Use EPIC as the electronic medical record system.

Compensation

  • Hourly 1099 compensation is $310 for days and $330 for nights.

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-time, part-time, or PRN positions available.
  • Our emergency department provides single doctor coverage with an APP from 11 am to 11 pm.

Requirements

  • Board-certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine or board-certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with ATLS.
  • Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
