Prime Physicians is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join a Critical Access Hospital in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. This opportunity offers a 7-on/7-off schedule, housing provided, malpractice with tail coverage, and accepts any active U.S. state medical license .
Physicians will evaluate and treat patients of all ages presenting with medical emergencies, trauma, acute illnesses, chronic disease exacerbations, and behavioral health conditions. Responsibilities include triage, stabilization of critically ill or injured patients, and determining the appropriate level of care. Patients requiring higher levels of care are transferred to Level I and Level II trauma centers in Sioux Falls.

- 4 Triage Rooms
- Patient Volume: 0.5 0.7 patients per hour
- Patient Population: All ages
- EMR: RPMS (Resource and Patient Management System)
- Support Staff: Hospitalists, OB/GYN, Nurse Specialists, OPP, and additional specialty support
- PTSD Counselor available
- Telehealth: Not currently available
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Active U.S. Medical License (Any State Accepted)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience
- New graduates welcome to apply
- Must have practiced within the last 6 months (please explain any employment gaps)
- Three professional references required (one must be a supervisor)
- Approximately 6 8 weeks
