- Setting: Hospital-based Emergency/Urgent Care
- Patient Volume: Approximately 42 per shift
- Department Size: 14 beds
- Call: None
- EMR: Epic
- Credentialing: Approximately 30 days
- Temporary Privileges: Available
- Support Team: Four RNs, one APP, and two office staff members Requirements
- Board-Certified Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine Physician
- Active Missouri license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification
- Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
- Current Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care competency
- Ability to work 12- or 24-hour shifts
- Hospital privileges Clinical Details
- Evaluate and treat acute Emergency and Urgent Care patients
- Stabilize higher-acuity patients and coordinate transfers
- Respond to Emergency Department codes
- Collaborate with nursing and APP support
- Utilize 24-hour anesthesia, catheterization laboratory, General Surgery, laboratory, and Radiology services
- Coordinate inpatient escalation when clinically required
- No newborn deliveries are received in the Emergency Department
- No APP, resident, or teaching supervision responsibilities
