Requirements

Position Details for Emergency Medicine Coverage

• Specialty : Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO)
• Coverage Period : July to September 2026
• Shift Schedule : Available shifts from 7 PM to 8 AM or 8 AM to 7 PM; candidates should specify available days in their presentation
• Type of Privileges : Hospital‑based
• Work Setting : Outpatient and inpatient (Emergency Department primarily operates as outpatient)
• Patient Demographics : Diverse populations
• Patient Volume : Approximately 41 patients per day
• Required Procedures : Standard emergency room procedures
• Staffing : Solo practice, though day shifts may have Advanced Practice Provider (APP) assistance
• Electronic Medical Record System : EPIC

Certification Requirements

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)/Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications (from American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Licensure

• Candidates must possess an active Oregon license at the time of application

Clinical Activity Requirement

• Documentation of clinical activity within the last 24 months is required, including case logs that demonstrate the provision of emergency medicine services reflecting the scope and complexity of requested privileges.
