Emergency Medicine Physician

Overview

We are recruiting an Emergency Medicine Physician to practice at St. James Healthcare, a Level 4 Trauma Center in Butte, MT. The position offers the opportunity to deliver high‑quality care in a small‑town environment while working with a dedicated healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Work 12‑hour shifts, with nights preferred; 50/50 night/day split optional.
• Complete 142 full‑time 12‑hour shifts annually.
• Provide daily APP coverage from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• Collaborate with St. Vincent Regional Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, and other Intermountain Health hospitals.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $402,144 with a production incentive and night shift differential.
• Quality bonus of $5,000 per year.
• Incentives: $25,000 starting bonus, up to $20,000 relocation bonus, and up to $100,000 student loan repayment bonus. PSLF eligible.
• Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus retirement savings plans.
• Paid time off, license reimbursement, malpractice insurance coverage, and annual CME allowance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school.
• Residency trained in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline.
• Active or unobstructed Montana medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.
• Passion for emergency medicine and rural communities.
• 3 to 5 years of Emergency Medicine experience preferred.
• Open to nights.
