Overview
We are recruiting an Emergency Medicine Physician to practice at St. James Healthcare, a Level 4 Trauma Center in Butte, MT. The position offers the opportunity to deliver high‑quality care in a small‑town environment while working with a dedicated healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work 12‑hour shifts, with nights preferred; 50/50 night/day split optional.
- Complete 142 full‑time 12‑hour shifts annually.
- Provide daily APP coverage from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Collaborate with St. Vincent Regional Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, and other Intermountain Health hospitals.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of $402,144 with a production incentive and night shift differential.
- Quality bonus of $5,000 per year.
- Incentives: $25,000 starting bonus, up to $20,000 relocation bonus, and up to $100,000 student loan repayment bonus. PSLF eligible.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus retirement savings plans.
- Paid time off, license reimbursement, malpractice insurance coverage, and annual CME allowance.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school.
- Residency trained in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
- Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline.
- Active or unobstructed Montana medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.
- Passion for emergency medicine and rural communities.
- 3 to 5 years of Emergency Medicine experience preferred.
- Open to nights.
