Emergency Medicine Medical Director

Sound Physicians is seeking an Emergency Medicine Medical Director to lead patient care in Santa Fe, NM. This role offers the opportunity to join a physician-founded and led medical group that prioritizes clinician support for optimal patient outcomes. The successful candidate will lead a local care team within a strong national network committed to clinical excellence and leadership development, working collaboratively across Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Critical Care.

Practice Info

• Join a close-knit team of 8 physicians and 2 APPs at Presbyterian Santa Fe.
• There are 20 beds dedicated to the ER and four additional beds allocated for the ICU.
• Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.

Responsibilities

• Trained to respond to codes.
• Part of the Rapid Response and code team.
• EPIC is our EMR.

Compensation

• Competitive W2 compensation.

Shift & Schedule

• APP coverage: Daily coverage 9 am-7 pm, and 12 pm-10 pm
• Physician coverage is provided 7 days a week with shifts from 7 am to 4 pm, 3 pm to 12 pm, and 10 pm to 7 am.
• The monthly workload for full-time positions is 120 hours, while part-time entails 80 hours per month.

Requirements

• Candidates eligible for consideration must be BC/BC ABEM/ABOEM.
• Current medical leadership experience in a similar or larger volume department.
• Certifications required: ACLS and PALS.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• No visa sponsorship available.
