Sound Physicians is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Leader to serve as Medical Director at Med Center Health Lovers Lane in Bowling Green, KY. This is a unique opportunity to guide the development of a clinical team from its inception at a brand-new facility opening in April 2026. The role involves shaping strategic direction, cultivating a high-performance culture, and driving clinical and operational excellence.

- This brand-new facility is opening in April 2026.
- There are 7 beds dedicated to the ER and 5 beds in the on-site Urgent Care.
- Radiology, CT, and Ultrasound are available on site.
- Medtech is the current EMR, transitioning to EPIC in December 2026.
Responsibilities
- Guide the development of a clinical team from its inception.
- Shape strategic direction.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture.
- Drive clinical and operational excellence.
- Serve as a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance.
Compensation
- Competitive 1099 compensation with paid malpractice and tail coverage.
Shift & Schedule
- 24 hours of physician coverage in the ED with shifts from 7a-7p and 7p-7a.
- 12 hours of APP coverage in the on-site Urgent Care.
Requirements
- ABEM certification required.
- At least one year of director and associate director experience preferred.
- Proven leadership capabilities.
