Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our emergency medicine APP you will serve as a critical lifeline in Lisbon, ND, a close‑knit community, practicing broad‑spectrum Emergency Medicine and directly responsible for initial patient assessment, treatment, and stabilization for a vast, appreciative service area. Essential Areas of Responsibility
- Provide care to patients of all ages – children to geriatrics
- Emergency Room consults, triage and medical care
- Round, admit and manage health needs of patients with a significant range of complex and co‑morbid disease conditions
- Manage all inpatient care and provide prompt attention to all patients admitted to the hospital, including diagnosis, treatment, and the performance of medical procedures (within your scope of practice)
- Collaborate and coordinate patient care with physicians, nursing, health care personnel, and care team members for patients in the hospital and ER
- Employ quality and process improvement practices to make the hospital a safer place and improve patient outcomes
- Ten (10) shifts per month is full‑time. Each 24‑hour shift is unrestricted call and APPs can expect to provide 10–12 hours onsite patient care.

Job Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Masters or Doctorate program
- Emergency Room or Inpatient experience of 1 year or more (required)
- Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine or Hospital Medicine
- ACLS, PALS, and ATLS or CALS certified
- Qualification to successfully obtain an unrestricted state license and DEA
- Interest in a shift‑based condensed work schedule – Ten 24‑hr shifts is full‑time
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing patient demographics and needs

Lisbon, ND has a population of approximately 2,200 residents and is located in the Sheyenne National Grasslands. The town offers extensive outdoor recreation, including fishing, hunting, birdwatching, and access to nearby parks, nature trails, and the Sheyenne River.
