Compensation
Hourly: $16.00 – $20.80 (base salary range; actual may vary based on skills and experience)
Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, discharges, and essential healthcare facilities.
- Assist patients during boarding, disembarking, and throughout the trip.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, including regular sanitization procedures.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and dispatchers to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules.
- Remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients at all times.
- Provide a professional, supportive presence during transport.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents during transportation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bilingual – Spanish required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Fleet Safety Clearance and completion of Fleet Safety Education.
- Compassionate, patient demeanor when interacting with patients and families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in transportation or customer service preferred.
