The City of Wabasha is seeking a part-time Emergency Management Director to lead the City of Wabasha in preparing for and responding to emergencies and disasters, with scheduling flexibility based on assigned tasks and deadlines. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Emergency Management Director for the City
- Act as the representative for the City of Wabasha in regards to any recovery efforts during and after a declared disaster.
- Manage assets and request for reimbursements to FEMA , prepare City to track assets
- Provide support to Reception Center Grant and training, in coordination with Public Works Director
- Oversee emergency management plan and updates to the plan
- Submit annual reports
- Apply for and manage grants
Desirable Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in emergency management, criminal justice, safety/health, project management, or related field
- At least two years work experience in related field.
- Must possess or obtain State of Minnesota Emergency Management Certification within two years of hiring
Salary is $7000 per year.
