Emergency Department RN - Grace Medical Center

JOB SUMMARY:

• The Emergency Dept RN provides nursing care to patients in compliance with theMarylandNurse Practice Act, Standards of Practice and defined by ANA,ENA, BSBHS, and organization protocols, policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises plan of care based on physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs of the patient/family.
• Assesses patient for changes that may hinder recovery.
• Collaborates with staff, physicians, and other disciplines to provide quality care delivery.
• Maintains clinical knowledge and skills competency to facilitate patient care in accordance with current standards of practice.
• Provides for a safe patient care environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of accreditedSchoolofNursing.Current RN licensure withMaryland Board of Nursing or Compact State, if resident of that state).
• Minimum of 2 years RN Experience specific to the Emergency Room within the last 4 years.
• BLS required.ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• PALSandHazmat within one year of hire.
• Certification in Emergency Nursing Preferred.
• Completes orientation according to policy/procedures.
