Overview

Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Travel) in San Bernardino, CA

Responsibilities

  • Provide ED care for STEMI receiving facility, cardiac, sepsis, ETOH, stroke, DKA, and all types of patients as part of procedures/treatments on unit.
  • Float as needed to additional units/locations as required by assignment.
  • Utilize equipment on unit including Tele/Monitor Techs with 22 hardwired monitors (in room and at nurses station).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 24 months of Emergency Department experience with some within the last 12 months.
  • Must have at least 24 months of ED experience within the past 4 years.
  • Experience with Cerner is preferred.
  • Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.
  • California nursing license (required for submission).
  • CPR/BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required or in scope per facility policy; Skills Checklist and References required.
  • Driver’s license required for submission.

Shift & Scheduling

  • Varied start 3p-7p, every other weekend; Fri, Sat, Sun counted as weekend; could be every weekend depending on staffing.
  • Holidays: yes; holidays are integrated into the perm staff rotation.

  • Traveler are first to float.

  • Adheres to facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1.
  • STEMI receiving facility; Cardiac, Sepsis, ETOH, Stroke, DKA care capabilities.
