Leading a high-performing embedded software team, the full-time salaried Embedded Software Team Lead will set technical direction, manage priorities, and provide hands-on guidance in developing firmware for safety-critical vehicle systems in a remote environment. Key responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and grow the embedded software team, overseeing hiring, onboarding, and career development Define and evolve embedded software architecture while establishing effective remote operating rhythms and delivery milestones Guide the design, integration, and validation of production firmware, ensuring reliability and safety compliance Required qualifications: 8+ years of experience developing embedded software for production systems, particularly in safety-critical environments Expert-level proficiency in C and/or C++ for production embedded systems Experience with RTOS or embedded Linux, including device drivers and board bring-up Strong understanding of embedded communications protocols such as SPI, UART, I2C, and CAN Familiarity with safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262 or EN 50716
