Now a wholly owned subsidiary of ERMCO, we operate with the agility of a startup and the backing of an industry leader.We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join the Embedded Software team in the design, implementation, and support of GridBridge products. This role spans bare?metal STM32 microcontrollers and embedded Linux platforms using Yocto on i.MX8. The position is hands?on and hardware?adjacent, working closely with power electronics, controls, and systems engineers.This role will be onsite in Raleigh, NC. Relocation Assistance is available.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain embedded software across STM32 and i.MX8 platformsDevelop bare?metal firmware on STM32 (control logic, state machines, diagnostics)Develop embedded Linux software using Yocto on i.MX8Implement user?space applications and services in C/C++Implement CAN?based inter?processor and inter?board communicationImplement MQTT?based system and supervisory communicationsSupport board bring?up, debugging, and system validationParticipate in Git?based workflows and code reviewsSupport manufacturing diagnostics and built?in testsProduce technical documentation and interface definitionsQualificationsRequired SkillsProficiency in C and/or C++Experience with STM32 microcontroller developmentExperience with embedded Linux systems and YoctoFamiliarity with CAN communicationExperience debugging on real hardwareExperience with Git and collaborative developmentPreferred SkillsExperience with i.MX8 or similar ARM SoCsFamiliarity with device trees and boot configurationExperience using MQTTBackground in power electronics or energy systemsExposure to manufacturing, validation, or field deploymentsExperience2-5 years of applicable embedded software development experience.
