Innovation and creative problem-solving are at the heart of our team, and we constantly explore new approaches to deliver groundbreaking solutions while collaborating with diverse disciplines across the company, including hardware, software, and privacy, to deliver an exceptional user experience.ResponsibilitiesBe a strong advocate for the customer experienceTake ownership of solving problems and deliver solutions on timeCommunicate and coordinate with teams and stakeholdersParticipate in design and code reviewsAssist with various team and system support needsMinimum Qualifications8+ years of embedded software engineering experience, with a proven track record of owning and delivering complex, cross-functional projects from concept through production at scaleAbility to take ownership, identify requirements, prioritize and make progress in an environment with limited given inputExpertise in C or C++ for Embedded SystemsExperience in embedded software development, device bringup, debugging and testingUnderstanding of multi-core embedded HW System and RTOSExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)Ability to be in office Monday through ThursdayPreferred QualificationsStrong understanding of common data structures and algorithmsHands on experience writing strong object-oriented code including creating frameworks, modular and testable softwareWorking knowledge of cryptography standards and protocols (e.g.. PKCS, KMIP, X.509, AES, KDF, CA)Very strong in leading others and hands-on in programming, system design, and problem solvingExperience with multithreaded programmingExperience driving release decisions, scoping work, and driving bug convergenceExperience in cross team collaboration and communication across multiple timezonesAble to work in an ambiguous and highly interdependent work environment to get things done in an efficient and tactful wayAbility to thrive in a multi-functional team on high-profile, critical projectsBS or MS in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalentPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.

This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
