Embedded Software Engineer 3Our organization is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support our RF Software department. This role involves designing, developing, operating, and maintaining software components and computing systems for engineering, scientific, and manufacturing applications. The position requires interfacing with other engineering functions and program staff while applying appropriate standards and tools throughout the system development life cycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, operate, and maintain software components and computing systems.Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle.Support the generation of engineering applications and products, such as laboratory simulation systems, aircraft protection and display systems, and electrical systems.Interface with other engineering functions and program staff to meet requirements.Test, debug, and integrate embedded software on target hardware using real-time operating systems.Required QualificationsEducation: A STEM degree is required.Experience: Must have experience with Object-Oriented Programming in C++11 and experience testing, debugging, and integrating embedded software on target hardware using real-time operating systems.Technical Skills: C++, Python, Bash, and knowledge of RF systems are required.Preferred QualificationsA DOD Secret ClearanceA Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Batch.Experience with software development methodologies and frameworks, such as Agile, in a team environment.Experience testing, debugging, and integrating embedded software on target hardware using VxWorks.Demonstrated leadership, teamwork capability, and interpersonal communication skills.Compensation & BenefitsA comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
