Embedded Software Engineer - Phoenix, AZ 85027
Responsibilities
* Able to understand technical aspects of software development and V&V within an avionics environment. Has working knowledge of DO-178B software development and test processes. Able to breakdown complex problems into simple solutions and has experience with accurately estimating project work.
* Communicates clearly and concisely with co-workers so assignments are understood. Periodically follows up to ensure assignments were understood. Has strong writing and documentation skills.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelors degree
* US Citizen or Permanent Resident required
Additional Qualifications
* Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree preferred
* Real time embedded software development experience
* Avionic flight controls experience
* Strong background in the use of computers (i.e. VAX, PC), and exposure to the use of: Matlab, Mode Logic Design, Assembly language programming, C/C++ programming, digital flight testing systems (i.e. DFTS), PVCS/Visual Source Safe (Configuration Management Systems), test interface hardware (i.e. EPIC TIU), scripted autotesting language/systems (i.e. EPIC TATs), requirements traceability, software structural coverage, and code instrumentation.
