This project is for a global developer and manufacturer of high-quality fire protection, auto dimming mirrors and windows for the automotive, aerospace, and commercial fire protection industries with facilities in the Zeeland, MI area.Job DutiesAs an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of embedded software for Client products.
Additionally, you will be responsible for:Software architecture design and documentationReviewing work products (code, requirements, design)Implementation, requirements traceability, bench testingUnit TestingWritten design documentationCompleting assigned software development tasksAttending scrums, project, group, and department meetingsMeet key internal and customer milestone datesWorking closely with a cross-functional project teamCommunicate and escalate key issues affecting your assigned tasksExcellent communication skills written and verbalJob RequirementsRequired Skills:7+ years strong software architecture design and documentation7+ strong in C for embedded systemsSelf Directed Problem Solver who is able to collaborate with the teamImplementation, requirements traceability, bench testing experienceAbility to analyze and implement to requirementsExperienced with basic Git (branches, commits, fetch, pull, hash, etc.)Experienced with ASPICE (Level 3 minimum) development guidelinesExperienced with unit testing and Unity Testing FrameworkExperienced with following MISRA guidelines and resolving MISRA and Lint issuesExperienced with requirements reviews and code reviewsDesired Skills & Experience - These would be a plus:Hardware testing experienceExperienced with RTOS (both Windows and Linux environments)Experienced with build automation tools: Rake, TeamCityStrong understanding of code coverageExperienced with software task management: Jira, Code Collaborator, etc.
