Campaign ManagerElizabeth Dempsey Beggs is a mother, veteran, foster parent, and advocate running for Congress in Virginia's 1st Congressional District. With a background as a U.S. Army Tank Commander and experience raising four young children—including children in foster care—Elizabeth's campaign is centered on service, integrity, community, and fighting for a future where every family has the opportunity to thrive.The Campaign Manager will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day campaign operations and executing a strategic plan to build a competitive, people-centered Democratic campaign.
The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and deeply committed to Democratic values and electing leaders who put people first. This is a senior-level role requiring strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage a fast-moving, multifaceted campaign.Key responsibilities include:Develop and implement the campaign's strategic plan, including field, communications, digital, and fundraising componentsManage daily campaign operations and ensure the candidate's time is used effectivelyRecruit, train, and manage campaign staff, interns, and volunteersOversee fundraising efforts in partnership with the Finance Director, including call time, events, and donor outreachCoordinate with consultants, partners, and stakeholdersLead voter-contact programs and oversee data tracking and reportingSupport message development, press coordination, and rapid responseEnsure compliance with FEC regulations and reportingBuild and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and local Democratic committeesFoster an inclusive, mission-driven campaign cultureQualifications include:Previous experience in campaigns or political organizing (campaign manager, field director, deputy campaign manager, or equivalent experience preferred)Strong understanding of Democratic campaign strategy, including field, data, and fundraising fundamentalsExcellent organizational and time-management skillsDemonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities at onceStrong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbalExperience with NGP VAN/Votebuilder strongly preferredAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsCommitment to the values and mission of the campaignTo apply, please submit your resume, a brief cover letter, and references to with the subject line "Campaign Manager Application".
