Our mission is to strengthen Georgia by providing individuals and families access to services that promote self-sufficiency, independence, and protect Georgia's vulnerable children and adults.The Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) / Office of Family Independence (OFI) is seeking candidates to fill several statewide positions as an Eligibility Specialist 1. The positions will report to an Eligibility Specialist Supervisor.Roles and Responsibilities:Process fair hearing requests for FS, FM, TANF, and ABD programs for the State using appropriate criteria and policies consistently and according to established guidelines.Ensure eligibility fair hearing requests are completed prior to submission to the Office of State Administrative Hearings.Monitor dashboard and daily assignments to track fair hearing SOP.Maintain a daily worker log.Input and update a high volume of data using standard office hardware and software.Research hearing results and record data ensuring accurate completion and compliance of Federal Regulations.Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.A minimum training score of 70% for Online and 75% for classroom / Policy and Gateway training is required.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED AND (1) one year of related experience which involved customer contact/interaction.Preferred Skills/Qualifications:Four (4) years related experience which involved customer contact/interaction as a regular part of the position OR combination of education and/or customer contact/interaction experience for a total four (4) years.Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment.Ability to enter a high volume of data effectively and accurately on a regular basis using standard office technology.Must be able to work independently.Demonstrates excellent customer service skills including but not limited to the ability to work with people of different ethnic and social backgrounds.

Also including the ability to work with all levels of leadership and management to resolve internal and external concerns.
