This is a remote role, and is an excellent opportunity to develop your administrative and customer service skills while supporting a top home health provider in the region!Our comprehensive benefits include:* Competitive pay* Paid time off* 401K with company match!* Career advancement opportunitiesResponsibilitiesAnswer telephones and provide excellent customer service to our professional staff and insurance representativesRun and utilize computer reports regularlyObserve confidentiality and safeguard all patient related informationProvide accurate, complete updates to Agency management on status of Insurance Eligibility for all patientsEnsures that Insurance Eligibility is obtained and documented for all patientsIs responsible for seeing that objectives are implemented, follows, and promotes agency policies and proceduresEnsure that all eligibility responses are documented clearlyParticipate in the orientation and education of other employees as relates to Eligibility departmentObserves confidentiality and safeguard all patient related informationNotifies Supervisor of problems in a timely manner and works to help provide solutionsCompletes ongoing education requirements and demonstrates ongoing competency in required areasOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school graduate or GEDMinimum of one (1) year of experience in health care billing and/or authorization practicesGeneral knowledge of the framework, organization, and function of home careSound knowledge of health care operations and third-party reimbursementProficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer) with the ability to learn industry specific software applicationsSolid organizational skills, thoroughness, and a keen attention to detail with the ability to multi-task while prioritizing effectivelyAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProfessional appearance and demeanor
