Eligibility and Billing Specialist

To support families throughout their financial journey, the full-time remote Eligibility and Billing Specialist will verify insurance eligibility and benefits, provide exceptional billing support, and educate patients on their financial responsibilities and payment options. Key responsibilities Verify patient eligibility and insurance benefits prior to appointments, documenting accurate information in systems Research and resolve eligibility, insurance, and billing issues by collaborating with insurance carriers, patients, and internal teams Respond to inquiries regarding insurance coverage and payment options, delivering compassionate customer service Required qualifications Prior experience in eligibility verification, patient billing, or revenue cycle management within healthcare Experience with commercial and/or Medicaid insurance plans Strong customer service skills with the ability to clearly explain insurance and billing information Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Passion for supporting the mental health of students and families from diverse communities
