Special Education Paraprofessional
Barnesville Elementary is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional. This is a 6-hour position that provides direct instructional and behavioral support to students with special needs. This individual will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and support staff to help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
Position Overview: Under the supervision of district and school staff, paraprofessionals will:
- Work in a special education classroom.
- Assist in a general education classroom or school setting.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
- Transport students
Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Completion of at least two years of college coursework (60 credits)
- Three years of experience plus demonstrated competency and participation in district-facilitated trainings.
- A passing score on the ParaPro or ParaEducator assessment.
Salary and Benefits: Salary range for this position is $21.30 per hour to $26.74 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. The benefits for this position can be found on pages 9-10 and 22 of the MSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
