Electronics Technician - Westbury, NYDate: Jul 8, 2026Location: WESTBURY, NY, US, 11590Company: Hubbell IncorporatedJob OverviewOur Electronics Technician is responsible for advanced evaluation, troubleshooting, and component-level diagnosis of returned product. The duties also include troubleshooting of manufacturing fallout. This role reports to quality and acts as a technical escalation resource within manufacturing, supporting process control, corrective action, and continual improvement to improve product quality, yield, and customer satisfaction.A Day In The LifeEvery day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:Perform advanced component-level troubleshooting of returned products and in-process manufacturing failures.Consisting of display boards, power supplies, network cards and control boards using SMT and thru hole technologies.Interpret and apply electrical schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and controlled manufacturing documentsConduct detailed failure analysis to determine root cause related to design, materials, assembly, or test processesEnsure all evaluations, repairs, and findings are accurately documented and traceable per ISO 9001Support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activitiesCollaborate cross-functionally to address nonconforming productAnalyze defect data to identify trends and systemic risksDevelop and maintain controlled troubleshooting proceduresSupport control of nonconforming outputsParticipate in corrective action and verification of effectivenessMaintain objective evidence for audits and reviewsIdentify risks and opportunities and drive continual improvementWhat will help you thrive in this role?Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent experience3+ years troubleshooting in a manufacturing environmentComponent-level diagnostics and schematic expertiseAdvanced PCB troubleshooting (multilayer, SMT)Analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuitsPrecision soldering and reworkCross-functional work with Manufacturing, Quality, and EngineeringClear communication of technical findingsWorking ConditionsManufacturing floor ESD-controlled work areasRegular use of microscopes, soldering tools and communication test softwareCompensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be discussed during the interview process. The salary range for this position is $67,400-$80,000.
