Remote Full Time General

Electronics TechnicianKalman & Company is seeking to hire an experienced Electronics Technician. This will be a full-time position with on-site support required in Addison, TX, and the Dallas Metro Area. The candidate will provide hands-on technical support for airborne sensor and data acquisition systems, including integration, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic instrumentation in a mission-critical operational environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform installation, integration, calibration, and operational checkout of airborne sensor systems and associated electronic hardwareTroubleshoot and repair electronic subsystems including power distribution, signal conditioning, data acquisition hardware, and communication interfacesMaintain and track sensor equipment inventory, calibration schedules, and maintenance logs in accordance with program documentation requirements.Support pre-mission and post-mission equipment inspections and readiness assessmentsInterface with scientists, engineers, and government personnel to coordinate sensor configuration and data collection operationsAssist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance manuals, and technical documentation for electronic systemsConduct bench-level diagnostics using standard test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)Support ground and airborne data acquisition and real-time data monitoring activitiesRequirementsUS Citizenship is requiredAssociate's degree or higher in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field, OR equivalent military technical training (e.g., MOS/AFSC in electronics, avionics, or communications)Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic systemsProficiency with bench test and measurement equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal analyzersExperience with analog and digital signal processing, sensor interfaces, and data acquisition hardwareFamiliarity with cabling, connector fabrication, and printed circuit board (PCB)-level troubleshootingExperience supporting systems integration in field or airborne environmentsStrong record-keeping and technical documentation skillsAbility to travel to support operational missions as necessary (minimal travel)Desired QualificationsLocated near the Addison, TX areaExperience with airborne sensor platforms, remote sensing systems, or similar mission-specific electronic payloadsFamiliarity with spectroscopic, radiometric, or photometric sensor hardwareExperience interfacing with GPS/INS navigation systems and synchronization hardwareKnowledge of MIL-SPEC connector standards and avionics wiring practicesFamiliarity with RF communication systems, data links, or satellite communication hardwareExperience with data acquisition software environments (LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python-based tools) for sensor configuration or health monitoringPrior experience supporting federal government or Department of Defense programsIPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification a plus
